Whoa, sorry if I've been out for so long! I took a little break from personal drawings this August, yet not because of an art block or similar issues. As a matter of fact, I've never stopped drawing during these days!
As soon as the last days of July arrived, I took care of my commission queue and once that as all cleared, me and mlock
have been working hard on Lost Without You. It's coming up well, I must say: this January we were still rounding up character modelsheets and now we're only missing 9 pages out of 40; considering we had to alternate these to commissions and other projects for nearly six months (Lock is still working on Sinergy's saga, while I had my artbook printed and more personal drawings done!), we've been holding up greatly! We're also confident to complete these last few pages in a couple of weeks so that September will be dedicated to the comic's cover, dialogue readproofing and extra pages. We need to print this in time for this year's LuccaComics in October, so the deadline is getting closer and closer each day. We've also been working on three special prizes for a Lost Without You giveaway contest which will end right before the convention, so that's two projects to work on. xP
Speaking of projects, Lost Without You's Facebook page
is doing great as well: we've started publishing Endless Sunset's first 10 pages in english, so that you foreign readers can enjoy it as well! Updates are posted regularly every week, along with previews, extra drawings and music videos. The page's also about to reach 400 likes, and each time we reach a new followers goal we publish a mini contest-game. So yeah, if you're using Facebook and you enjoy scifi comics, why not giving it a like? <3 The english translated pages of course imply that we're planning on printing a foreign language version of this comic, but we can't assure it'll be released on the same day as the italian one as, unfortunately, printing comics cost a lot of money and as ofnow we can only afford a certain number of issues. Worry not, though, because as soon as the english printed version comes out (mayyybe around Christmas?) it'll be available for online purchase and we can ship it worldwide! As always you'll find it listed in my Shop Page
which has been recently updated with newer stock. I still have a few copies of my artbook available, with a new price! <3
Lock has also been visiting here for the holidays, and he has stayed at my place since the first of August; he has gone back home yesterday. I had infact planned of going to the beach with him during these days but in the meanwhile my town has seen it all! First, we've had several very extensive and destructive fires that have turned our surrounding mountains into barren wastelands (the worst thing is that these fires were surely manmade, and this drives me mad! >:C ) and secondly, the last days of July and first days of August have been tremendously hot and damp! We were struggling to keep ourselves cool at home, and going out with the sun up was certainly a deathwish, let alone going to the beach. It saddens me that I haven't enjoyed the sea this year, but this time it was obviously offlimits. Temperature's has been cooling off lately these weeks luckily, so we had the occasion of taking long walks doing windowshopping and chilling in the streets like we always do. We also had issues with trains, as my town is currently renovating its station and most means of transportations are unavailable, so we had to rely on buses for travelling (and the constant traffic jam made our trips long and exaustingly boring); to top it off, my area is also experiencing some kind of a drought as it hasn't been raining since er, mid July? The soil is so dusty and it's cracking up, and trees are losing their leaves, which looks utterly depressing and apocalyptic. I'm truly hoping for a summer storm soon! ._.
I know this description makes it sound like it's the end of the world 'round here, yet despite everything we've been kinda okay... most of all, me and Lock feel well rested after such a break and ready to get back on track!
During these days I've also been taking care of Speedway To Tubelectric
's appeareance and archive and I've done some cleaning here and there by polishing posts, updating lists and guides and clearing up unrelevant things; I must admit that my recent posts have been rather lacking in the description department, so I went and updated my cartridge posts with opinions and comments about it anywhere I could; of course, after having played the games thoroughly or after doing researches on their origins, I could write more about them and now most posts feel like a mini review, which is actually nice. Other posts, especially retrospectives and memories, have been updated with better pictures or even merged whenever they concerned similar subjects. All in all, I think I've deleted more than 50 useless and old posts! I'm either way satisfied of the result, as the blog now looks much slicker and easy to read. I recently acquired several new games and more are getting shipped my way so I should probably update it again soon, yet this time Ill gather way more information about a game before writing a post about it!
As for these days, as previously mentioned I'm going to give Lost Without You's pages a priority, yet I'm opening up once again for commissions as... well, extra bucks are always good when you're about to print a comic xP If you're interested in a commission, this is my TOS page
(which has been recently updated with better grammar, new examples and even more commission types- I've finally added Telegram stickers to the list!) and contacts can be made via note! Posters and postcards are still available in my shop
, and that's always open if you want to order something from there. Again, contacts are via DA note, or if you prefer via email. Every info you need is found in those links, and you can follow me over at FurAffinity
as well, where I post my completed commissions! That gallery is also a good place to contact me, as I check it daily.
Rest assured though, some updates will also be made on my DA gallery! I'm already working on Alkaline's updated ref so that will be the first new thing you'll see here, and I've got a couple of drawing which will be inspired by videogames I've recently been playing... Lock has gifted me BloodBowl 2 while here, and in just a few days I've won many tournaments with my Skaven team. Ratties are adorable <3
I hope you guys are having a good summer, and maybe the weather is a little more tempetate where you live!
